Show what each game is worth
On team and region pages, show how much each game adds to a team's Harbin average if it goes the team's way (for example, +0.6185).
Show every game on region pages
Region pages list only the games that can still change a region team's Harbin. An opponent's game only counts for teams that beat or tied that opponent, or haven't played them yet, so once every region team that played them lost, their games are hidden. Turn this on to list those games too.
Level 2 divisor for projections
The Level 2 divisor starts at 100 and drops for each opponent's open dates and games that don't count. Actual (current) Harbin numbers always use today's divisor; this sets what projected numbers use.
How the two options differ
Level 2 points are the points your opponents earn from their wins, divided by the Level 2 divisor. A smaller divisor means a bigger Level 2 average, so the divisor you project with can move a team's Harbin number.
The divisor drops by one for each of your opponents' open dates, missing weeks and games that don't count (W* / L*) — but only once that week has happened. Early in the season, today's divisor is higher than the one the season will end with. The two options differ only in when those reductions show up in projected numbers.
- End-of-season divisor
- Projections always use the divisor the team will have after Week 10. Use it to answer “where will this team finish?” Projected numbers don't depend on how far ahead you've projected, but they won't match the divisor shown in today's rankings.
- Follow my projections
- Projections use the divisor each team would have on the date of its last game you've projected. Use it to answer “what will the rankings look like after next week?” — project only through that week. The divisor keeps dropping as you project further, and a non-counting game still to come stays on the grid until you project it.
Both options agree once the season is over, or once you've projected every remaining game. Actual (current) Harbin numbers aren't affected by either setting.
Example: Massillon Washington's divisor is 86 today and will be 83 at season's end. With the end-of-season divisor its projections use 83 from the start; following your projections, it starts at 86, drops as you project and reaches 83 once you've projected the rest of its opponents' seasons.
